Group 1 Informative Speech Blog Amanda Melendez

Group 3 started off their presentations by talking about the future of social media. They focused on the negative and positive effects of social media. They correlated mental health issues, cyber bullying, and sexting to social media's negative attributes. They also associated social media's positive attributes to be creativity, learning opportunities, and socialization. They also highlighted that social content creators have been the new career path for many people. Unfortunately criminals have access to your personal information. It is also found that young adults are very active on their phones and social media. The first two social medias were friendsters and sixdegrees. Over time, many different types of social media platforms have established. The entertainment industry has effected mental health. Social media has also effected physical health.

Group two spoke about advancements in space technology. They highlighted the refracting telescope by Galileo. They also shed a light on the reflecting telescope by Isaac Newton. They also spoke about astronaut training and the tech needed for this. They spoke about the landing on Mars and also shared videos about this experience. This group also spoke about SpaceX and the experiment of crew trying to land on Mars by 2030. They also spaceship sizes over the years. Over all, they did a great job informing their audience. 

Group 1 worked well together to speak upon their informative speech topic about the physical and psychological effects of music. They shared the purpose of music, how music helps dementia patients, and how mental health is effected by music. Also this group shared the purpose of instruments, the purpose of music, and the effect music has on studying and working out. This group had a well orchestrated presentation where everyone was well spoken when explaining their portion. I am very proud of how my group presented our topic.

Amanda Melendez Group Presentation Overview

  All of the group presentations were splendid. I was the leader of Group 1. Amber was the technical person of the group. This group project was an insightful opportunity. We were able to work together and learn from each other's ideas. Our group went over   how to prepare for a speech. We spoke about the importance of reducing your fears and maintaining focus when giving a speech. Public Speaking is about engaging your creative thinking skills and practicing active listening. Effectively presenting a speech demonstrates knowledge, displays confidence, and shows leadership ability. This can be a key to success and achieving respect when it comes to job opportunities.
