Presentation Reflection.

Group Presentation Reflection Camila Perez SPC2608 Group 1      The first group to present was given the task of going over chapters 1-4 and creating a presentation to teach the class. This was the group that I was placed in, we all divided the chapters amongst each other and started getting to work. Our presentation ended up having roughly 24 slides, all summarizing chapters 1-4. I believe that my group worked well together and everyone did a good job in completing their presentation. We all had visual aids in order to keep our audience engaged and aware. We also all turned on all cameras which is great to keep interaction with the class. The only thing that I think my group could improve on is making our presentations a little longer. This could be done by adding videos or by creating more ways of being interactive with the class. We had about 20 minutes left in the class after our presentation and I feel like we could have extended our presentation a bit to fit t...
Summary on the Presentations: Angel Amador           The way that we were put to present and teach the chapter was a very efficient way of doing so. Usually in most classes what will happen is that the way we get our information we are told to study on our own to be able to pass the class. The way we did our group assignment was better and more efficient because it made each student focus on one section of the book and know it well. For the rest of the chapters we are taught by the rest of the class which is more efficient. This method made this feel very hands on and incorporated teamwork to be able to put together all the slides.            Group 1 had the job to present chapters 1-4 which focused on the needed skills to give a good and efficient speech that will keep the crowd on its toes. Group 1 did an amazing job putting the slides together and keeping the layout very consistent. The way th...

Amanda Melendez Group Presentation Overview

All of the group presentations were splendid. I was the leader of Group 1. Amber was the technical person of the group. This group project was an insightful opportunity. We were able to work together and learn from each other's ideas. Our group went over   how to prepare for a speech. We spoke about the importance of reducing your fears and maintaining focus when giving a speech. Public Speaking is about engaging your creative thinking skills and practicing active listening. Effectively presenting a speech demonstrates knowledge, displays confidence, and shows leadership ability. This can be a key to success and achieving respect when it comes to job opportunities. We also shed a light on the importance of selecting a topic and purpose. This is significant in order to engage the audience and leave them with a message that they will remember. Analyzing your audience is crucial. This can help to narrow down the adaptation required to inform or persuade them i...

Daileen Cazalvilla Presentation Overview

Presenting always has been a very difficult situation for many people is stressful and sometimes even boring. Also learning by reading a textbook can be very boring and frustrating, memorizing key points, or gather the important information for a test, is a really stressful situation. In our speech class, we learned how to make those two problems very easy and even entertained. Instead of reading and memorizing the book, our professor had us break into groups and present all chapters of the book, making it a very different but entertained way of learning. All groups were divided into a number of chapters, and each one of us had to explain the topics to an audience (our classmates). Group 1 presented chapters from 1 to 4, which explained the tips that we need to give a good speech. In this presentation, the group show knowledge of the content they were presented, and also the unity and relation from one topic to another. Also, this group did a good job in getting the attention of t...

Andres Summary

Each group in these past few weeks has shown amazing presentations and spoke well during each speech. This classroom should always represent your hard work and speech skills to show off what you learn from each presentation while also practicing how to speak to your classmates as well. Group 1 which started things off with chapters 1-4 had much information about preparations, so this is mostly the basics and how you would begin. The key points that Group 1 used in their presentations were about how to begin a presentation in a relaxing way so that when it comes time to present you would be confident in your skills and be more calmer presenting to the audience. Group 1 used many pictures so that the audience would be more interested in what the presenter is saying rather than reading the slides. The group also had a great communication among presenting with each member making sure they would be more organized of the topics and chapters that was shown. Group 1 did an amazing job presen...

Overview of Presentations--Amber

Image
Student is bored with unentertaining, stressful learning techniques. Presenting information rather than having students read a textbook and memorize key points for tests can be a useful tool, made relatively easy with the technology in the current age. In our SPC 2608 class, rather than reading the textbook and being graded on our memory skills after long, dreadful hours of reading, we each read a section of the textbook and highlighted key points in a presentation. This made the learning process very hands on, and entertaining, as well as teaching group skills as we worked with each other to coordinate our slides and properly split the assigned chapters. To start off, Group 1 presented on chapters 1-4, which highlighted the essential skills and tips needed to give a relaxed, confident speech that keeps the audience engaged. One thing that stood out to me in group one's presentation was the large quantity of images involved. Using images kept the audience entertained and engaged as...
