Summary on the Presentations: Angel Amador
The way that we were put to present and teach the chapter was a very efficient way of doing so. Usually in most classes what will happen is that the way we get our information we are told to study on our own to be able to pass the class. The way we did our group assignment was better and more efficient because it made each student focus on one section of the book and know it well. For the rest of the chapters we are taught by the rest of the class which is more efficient. This method made this feel very hands on and incorporated teamwork to be able to put together all the slides.
Group 1 had the job to present chapters 1-4 which focused on the needed skills to give a good and efficient speech that will keep the crowd on its toes. Group 1 did an amazing job putting the slides together and keeping the layout very consistent. The way the chapters were presented with many images made the layout very friendly and welcoming for the audience to keep them entertained and hooked into the lecture. Overall the whole presentation for chapter 1-4 was very organized.
Group 2 was given the chapter 5-9 to present which was based on obtaining and gathering information that can be used to better your presentation and supporting the sources that they have provided. It also explains all the things that people should keep in mind while presenting like the tone of voice and body language to make sure the speech is executed as it should be. Group 2 did incorporate a video which group 1 did lack but it was a great video of Obamas speech. This was great because it showed the students a great example on how those techniques should be delivered to the audience. The video was good because most people learn from watching more than what they do from listening
Group 3 worked on chapter 10-12 including the appendix and this showed on different styles and way for people to present. On how to speak and what to speak on like executing the information and to also be persuasive on the way that you give your speech. They spoke on how group presentations are good because they have many more advantages since its more than one person and they can tie the presentation better together. Videos were also used in the presentation and they used a Japanese anime to better show on how teamwork and cooperation together is a good thing. Overall it was to catch the audience eye and to keep them entertained so they pay attention fully to the presentation.
All the groups did an outstanding job in making sure that we all put together a good presentation. With the information that was needed to fully understand the book and its chapters in a very creative way that kept people involved with the actual lesson and felt like they learned instead of just memorizing for a test.
I really agree with you that everyone did a great job! I am excited for the next presentation!
